Ford, the American carmaker has plans to make only some meek styling changes to make a mark with the modernized 2017 Escape. The new crossover comes crammed with as much the most recent connectivity and technology features of the brand as possible, together with a couple of new-to-the-Escape EcoBoost powertrains. The new vehicle comes equipped with the self-governing MacPherson strut-type front suspension system with a stabilizer bar, double-cylinder hydraulic gas-pressurized shocks. At the back, it comes outfitted with self-regulating dual side link semi-trailing arms with a stabilizer bar, hydraulic gas-pressurized shocks, and progressive rate coils.
Regarding brakes, the vehicle comes equipped with Power four-wheel disc brakes in the front and at the back.

2017 Ford Escape Interior
For the next year, the cabin of the new Ford Escape 2017 comes with the seating capacity for five people by means of its two seat rows. As the new vehicle comes with adequate outside dimensions, the cabin will also get sufficient space to offer passengers with enough headroom, legroom and hip space. With this power unit, the S trim offers the city, highway and combined mileage of 21 mpg, 29 mpg, and 24 mpg respectively.
A 2017 Escape EcoBoost engine will power the Titanium and SE model, with the capacity of 1.5 liters, which offers the models the requisite power and twist of 179 ponies at 6000 RPM and 177 pounds per foot at 2500 RPM respectively. These models come equipped with both front-wheel drive and four-wheel drive systems. With the front-wheel drive these models offer the city, highway and combined mileage of 23 mpg, 30 mpg, and 26 mpg respectively, whereas, with the four-wheel drive system, they offer the city, highway and combined mileage of 22 mpg, 28 mpg, and 24 mpg respectively.
A double-scroll EcoBoost unit will also power the 2017 Ford Escape Titanium and SE models, but with the capacity of 2.0 liters, which offers the models the requisite power and twist of 245 ponies at 5500 RPM and 275 pounds per foot at 3000 RPM respectively. With this powertrain and the front-wheel drive system, these models offer the city, highway and combined mileage of 22 mpg, 29 mpg, and 25 mpg respectively, whereas, with the four-wheel drive system, they offer the city, highway and combined mileage of 20 mpg, 27 mpg, and 23 mpg respectively.
All engines will be paired with a six-velocity SelectShift mechanical transmission to send power to the wheels of the vehicle. Better acceleration is also achieved by the new vehicle that makes it reach the 60 mph velocity from the start in 9.5 seconds with the maximum speed of 125 mph.
The new model Escape will be offered with a special towing package that offers the S model the maximum towing capacity of 1500 pounds (approx 682 kg). The 1.5-liter engine offers their respective models the maximum towing capacity of 2000 pounds (approx 909 kg), whereas the 2.0-liter power unit offers their models the new 2017 Ford Escape towing capacity of 3500 pounds (approx 1591 kg).
Price and release date
The 2017 Escape release date is expected to be during the final part of 2016, and the base price varies according to the models. However, the price of new Ford Escape 2017 (base model) will be available from $22,960.
