Cherokee is SUV which always draws attention, how it’s gonna be, what is the new look, facelift, a lot of questions. New “revolutionary” design doesn’t come yet. However, Jeep has refreshed its newest off-road-focused Trailhawk badge for the modernized 2017 Cherokee brand, which was unveiled at the recently held 2016 Auto Show in New York. With a name previously used on the 2014 model Grand, the 2017 JEEP Grand Cherokee Trailhawk will be positioned between Limited and the Laredo trim grades. Jeep’s major purpose of constructing the new model Trailhawk is to perk up its ability when it goes on rough terrains.

The new Cherokee Trailhawk comes equipped with the Quadra-Drive II transfer case and a multimode 4×4 arrangement of the brand, including an electronic limited slip rear differential. With these features, the new Trailhawk acquires its individual version of the Quadra-Lift air suspension of the brand, which is designed to perk up the wheel expression off road.
At its maximum setting, the new features an approaching angle of 29.8 degrees. It will increase to 36.1 degrees when removing the lower parts of its front fascia. The front part of the vehicle comes equipped with bi-xenon headlights with signature LED daylight running lights. This setup offers it a premium front look.
The new JEEP Grand Cherokee Trailhawk 2017 comes equipped with an air suspension system that capable of making a break-over angle of 27.1 degrees and a departure angle of 22.8 degrees.
The new SUV comes with an inspiring ground clearance of 10.8 inches when it is equipped with the standard V6 powertrain. The new vehicle comes equipped with a set of 18-inch alloy wheels, wearing Goodyear Adventure tires as standard and with a set of 20-inch alloy wheels as an option.

Moreover, the new Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk 2017 comes outfitted with Selec-Speed Control with hill climb control as standard. This system works with the anti-lock braking system to keep it at a set velocity while moving up and down the hills. It also comes outfitted with skid plates to protect its underbody from the elements.

Inside the new Cherokee Trailhawk 2017, the changes are restricted to model explicit leather and polished piano black dash appliqués, artificial suede seat coverings and red sewing. That luxurious feeling is matched by Nappa leather-covered dashboard, door panel, and console components. High-quality Berber carpet mats and a suede headliner add to the opulence look. The interior keeps the design alive with lots of red contrast sewing and a Trailhawk emblem on the steering wheel.

Standard Cherokee engines are well known, V8, 5.7-liter Hemi, it will have 360 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque. New thing is that it will have additional technology upgrade, which slowly becoming standard all over the World, Multi-Displacement System. What does it do? It turn-off half of the eight cylinders when not needed(at the crossroad, for example), it is very fuel saving. One more engine is 295-hp, 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6, well known from previous models.

The 2017 JEEP Grand Cherokee Trailhawk comes equipped with a new V6, EcoDiesel powertrain with the size of 3.0 liters. This power unit makes the new truck offer the greatest highway mileage of 30 mpg. The engine will be paired with an eight-speed transmission as standard. The powertrain also offers the new truck a matchless driving range of over 730 miles. Legendary Jeep ability comes courtesy of three multimode 4×4 systems, the Quadra-Lift air suspension system of Jeep and class-top Selec-Terrain traction administration system. Through this powertrain, the new truck gets the maximum towing capacity of about 3364 kg (7,400 pounds).
2017 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk Price and the date of release
The 2017 JEEP Grand Cherokee Trailhawk is expected to hit the dealerships for sale during summer 2016. However, Jeep does not yet confirm the price of the new truck, but it is expected that it will carry a higher price tag than that of the existing model, which will vary between $50,000 and $ $80,000.
