2017 Audi R8 Review

Most racing enthusiasts were very familiar with the Audi R8 earlier than its production version ever existed. The new vehicle comes equipped with the double wishbone suspension system in the front and at the back. When comes to brakes, it comes equipped with disc brakes in the front with the rotors of the thickness of 14.4 inches in the front. At the back, it comes outfitted with drum brakes with the rotors of the thickness of 14 inches.
The new model R8 comes with the external dimensions of 174.3″ (L) x 76.4″ (W) x 48.8″ (H) with the wheelbase length and curb weight of 104.4 inches and 3649 pounds (approx 1659 kg) respectively.

Accordingly, the V10 model comes with standard features, such as black Alcantara and Nappa leather headliners, LED interior lighting, heated 18-way, power-adaptable sport seats, MMI Plus with Navigation infotainment system of Audi and magnetic ride damper control. On the other hand, the V10 Plus model comes with all features of V10 trim, plus carbon ceramic brakes and racing bucket seats, but renounces the magnetic ride dampers for firmer shocks and steel coils.

Both models of the 2017 Audi R8 comes with the same V10 engine with the displacement of 5.2 liters. This powertrain offers the V10 model the highest power of 540 ponies and the highest twist output of 398 pounds per foot. Through this engine, the V10 model attains the 60 mph speed from the start in 3.5 seconds, and it attains the maximum speed of 199 mph.

Through the same 5.2-liiter capacity engine, the V10 Plus model gets the highest power output of 610 ponies and the maximum torque of 413 pounds per foot. Through this engine, the V10 Plus model attains the 60 mph speed from the start in 3.2 seconds, and it attains the maximum speed of 205 mph. The powertrain makes the new vehicle to offer the city mileage of 14 mpg and the highway mileage of 22 mpg.
The engine will be mated to a seven-velocity double-clutch S Tronic automatic gearbox as standard. This engine offers better fuel economy than that of the earlier model, owing to the incorporation of the cylinder deactivation and a traveling feature that purges engine braking at low velocities.

The new model R8 comes with the all-wheel drive system as standard and it will be offered with three different driving modes, such as Auto, comfort and dynamic as standard. While the new performance mode comes as standard in the V10 Plus model, it comes as an optional feature in the V10 model. The new vehicle comes with t fuel tank capacity of 21.9 gallons.

The 2017 Audi R8 is expected to hit the Audi showrooms for sale during the concluding part of 20126. Regarding pricing, the V10 model will be available at a starting price of $ 162,900, whereas the V10 Plus model will be available at $ 189,900
