The 2017 Ford Explorer is expected to come with numerous updates that include more powerful engines for each of its models than that of its predecessor, individual comforts, liberal cargo capacity, many standard features, and a calm driving experience. The new vehicle comes with significant updates including its rejuvenated external styling, an improved suspension, delicate interior modifications, a new powertrain option, and updated safety technologies. 2017 Ford Explorer Exterior
Most of the outside design of the 2017 Explorer will be similar to those of its predecessor, but buyers can expect some aesthetic changes here and there in it. The Sport model will come equipped with a set of 20-inch alloy wheels, sport-tuned suspension system, and unique exterior trim details, whereas the range-leading Platinum trim comes equipped with the standard exterior features of the remaining models, plus a double-panel sunroof as standard.

The range-topping 2017 Ford Explorer Platinum trim comes equipped with all features of the 301A bundle, plus quality Sony acoustic system, advanced leather upholstery, wood inside trim, aluminum and wood inner trim, and back entertainment system.
In general, the new model Explorer comes with the passenger volume of 150 cubic feet and a cargo volume of 21 cubic feet.
This time, Ford offers its 2017 model Explorer with three different powertrains according to the models.
As a result, a V6 powertrain with the displacement of 3.6 liters will power the base model. This power plant offers the necessary power of 290 ponies and the essential twist output of 255 pounds-feet to the new vehicle. The base trim will be offered with both model comes with both front-wheel drive system and all-wheel drive system.
The Platinum and Sport models will get their required power and twist from a V6, power unit with the displacement of 3.5 liters. Customers, who need extra mileage, may choose the new Explorer powered by a 4-cylinder power unit with 2.3 liters of displacement. This power unit delivers the new vehicle with the highest power of 270 ponies and the peak torque of 300 pounds-feet. As expected, the engine makes the new vehicle the mileage of 19 mpg when it is driven within the city limits, 28 mpg on the highways. The combined mileage offered by the vehicle is 22 mpg. However, this power unit will be offered as an option on the XLT and Limited models.
All engines will make their concerned models to attain the 60 mph speed from the motionless mode in 6.0 seconds and assist them in getting the top speed of 125 mph.

Price and the date of release
All models of The 2017 Ford Explorer with all its trims will be available for sale during late 2016. Each model has its own price range, but the preliminary price of the base model is estimated to be $30,000, and this price tag will be more for other mid-range and luxurious models.
