The all-new Chevrolet Silverado HD 2017 will be equipped with a V8, turbocharged Duramax diesel power plant with the displacement of 6.6 liters. This will get the new truck the power of 397 ponies and torque of 765 pounds per foot. This powertrain will be mated to a six-velocity Allison mechanical transmission. Although Chevrolet does not yet confirm the towing capacity, towing to the powerful engine, it is expected that the truck will have a more towing capability of its predecessor, which has maximum tow close to 19,600 pounds.

Base price and the date of release
The new Chevy Silverado HD will be released for sale during late 2016 or early 2017.
