The most recent compact model from Honda named Fit will hit the market very soon. This is excellent news for all people who love luxury compact models. Production of this model will start this year, but you can buy it next year when officially hit the market. In Europe, this model is also known as Jazz model. According to the Japanese automaker, the 2017 Honda Fit will be redesigned and it will use the modernistic platform. This will be the third generation of this model, and it will debut probably in North American market. We can definitely expect the addition of so many new things. After all, we can expect new high-tech features and new safety systems. The interior design will be slightly changed as the exterior, a bit more elegant, with sharp lines. The dimensions will be a bit different this time.
2017 Honda Fit Changes
From the outside, the new model looks very nice. As we wrote in the intro, engineers will use totally new and modernistic platform in order to make this vehicle better and more stylish than before. Change in the 2017 Honda Fit platform consequently brings some changes in the dimensions, but more about that later. Also, thanks to the new platform, the chassis will be a bit lighter than before which also means better fuel economy. That fact will definitely make this vehicle more attractive than before. Furthermore, the aerodynamics of the vehicle will be improved thanks to the front fascia and reshaped front bumper. Also, the bonnet is a bit smaller and sharper and that also improves aerodynamics. Another redesigned part in the front fascia is the front grille. This grille is very appealing and it has a shape of aircraft wings. Down low, the fog lights are also modified with and LED powered. The headlights are also a new one. Both, the headlights and the taillights are powered by the same LED system. So, the conclusion is that whole front fascia of this model is changed in a good way. The doors of this model are very large so the low roof line is not a problem when you need to step into the car. This completely redesigned model will ride on 15 X 5.5-inch steel wheels fitted with P185/60TR15 tires.

The anticipated model will also have improved interior design. It will be more spacious and well organized. Although is hard to notice some changes inside, we can definitely expect it. Before all, we need to say that the cabin of this model will be able of accommodating up to five passengers. The people who are inside will enjoy in a high dose of comfort. Front Head Room and Front Leg Room will be 39.5 and 41.4 inches. In addition, Second Head Room and Second Leg Room will be 37.5 and 39.3 inches. Furthermore, all seats inside the 2017 Honda Fit cabin are upgraded and they have some new materials. Unfortunately, the cargo space will be decreased a bit, but nothing too much notable. Also there are Audio Theft Deterrent, Steering Wheel Controls, Manual Air Conditioning, Cruise Control and many others.
2017 Honda Fit Interior
Under the hood, the most recent model will be powered by a hybrid powerplant. It will use 1.5 liter Atkinson-cycle V4 engine. This is the base engine and it is capable of accommodating up to 130 horsepower with 114lb-ft of torque. The power from this 2017 Honda Fit engine is routed to the front wheels trough the 6-speed manual transmission system. Optionally and for US and Canada market there will be continuously variable transmission (CVT). According to EPA, the fuel economy of this engine is rated at fantastic 29/36/32 in the city/highway/combined. The fuel tank capacity will be 10.6 gals. The acceleration from 0-62 mph will be 8.5 seconds and the top speed will be 130 mph.
The second engine option is 1.3 liter Inline V4 engine with a max output of 130 horsepower as well as 100 lb-ft of torque.
Price and Release date
The release date of new Honda Fit 2017 is scheduled for the next year, probably in the first three months. The starting price will be around $17.000.
