2017 Toyota C-HR Review

If we have to find one, only one word to describe the Japanese car-maker Toyota, that word would be perfection! They have so many remarkable models and if have to mention every model; we will need so much time. In the next review, we will talk about the brand new model with the name 2017 Toyota C-HR. If you wonder what C-HR means, that means Coupe High-Rider. According to Company, this model will certainly provide very pleasant ride and eye-catching exterior design. Also, the engines are very efficient, and that is so important these years. This model was presented for the first time in Paris in 2014 and later in Frankfurt in 2015. Today, this model is officially released, and expectations from the Company are really high. This handsome model will be especially appealing to the younger populations, primarily because of its modernistic exterior design.

At the first glance, we can actually notice how appealing this model is. Everything from the outside is so futuristic and perfect in order to provide a high dose of extravagance. As we wrote in the intro, younger people will be delighted with its appearance. Of course, that doesn’t mean that the older ones will be dissatisfied. This model is predicted for everyone, men’s, women’s, younger population or older population. Furthermore, it will definitely have very prominent styling and that will bring newfound sensuality to the crossover market. The crossover will combine powerful support with the coupe-like upper body. First of all, we will present to you the dimensions of this model: Length will be 4,360 mm, the Width will be 1,795 mm while the High will be 1,555 mm and wheelbase of 2,640 mm.

Now, we can move on some details from the outside, so let’s start with the front fascia. The front fascia will be especially modernistic and the front grille will be extremely thin. At the middle of the grille, there is going to be a small logo of the Company. The headlights of this vehicle are extremely futuristic and they will feature the newest generation of LED technology. The same system we can expect on the taillights and on the fog lights. The exterior design will be also improved thanks to the interesting handles on back doors which are integrated within the C-pillar.

From the inside, just like the every newest vehicle, and this one will be very elegant and comfortable. Everything inside is on the high level and we can expect a new ‘Sensual Tech’ design concept. The cabin will combine so many high-tech features with a so stylish design and that is an excellent thing for all passengers. When we mention passengers, all of them will enjoy in well shaped and comfortable seats wrapped with the high-quality leather. Besides leather, the cabin will provide some aluminum and some wooden parts. We can see aluminum in the dashboard. Also, the steering wheel will be covered with the high-quality leather and it will be multi-functional.

At the middle of the dash, there is going to be 8″ display audio touch-screen fitted with the brand new infotainment system. We can expect numerous interior colors including Black/Blue, Dark Grey, and Black/Brown. The safety will be also on the excellent level and some of them will include Lane Departure Alert + steering control, Pre-Collision System, Pedestrian Recognition, Adaptive Cruise Control, Road Sign Assist, and Automatic High Beam. Some other interior features are modern air condition, very good audio system, a lot of options for connectivity, and many others as well.

Engine and Performance

Beneath the hood, the most recent model will be powered by a new 1.2-liter turbo engine that we used to see in the Auris model. This engine will deliver 85 kW/116 hp and 185 Nm of torque. Also, with this engine, this model will have a fuel economy of 5.5 l/100 km / 43 mpg. It will be most likely mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox or even to a Continuously Variable Transmission also known as CVT. With the CVT transmission, the power will be routed to front or all-wheel drive. The second engine will be a 2-liter 144 DIN hp/107 kW, 188 Nm.
Furthermore, there is going to be a new generation of Toyota’s hybrid powertrain. It will generate CO2 emissions as low as 82 g/km and it will have a fuel economy rate of only 3.6 l/100 km when the drive is combined.

Price and Release date

This model is already released and it will have a starting price of around £20,995 / $25.983.
