The 2018 Ford Mustang GT is an ultra modern Ford edition that brags of both tech and performance upgrades. The car has an exaggeratedly inclined C-pillar that gives it a sleek appearance, while both the bumper and spoiler are redesigned such that the external appearance is ‘sporty.’ Ford rarely fails to deliver on its promises as the 2018 Mustang has a powerful engine that can manage more ponies than the older one. The engine performance and the blend of both traditional Ford designs with modern, trendy designs are the key selling points of the newest Pony.
2018 Ford Mustang GT Changes
The Ford team had tech-savvy, sport car lovers in mind when making the 2018 edition. Its revised appearance gives it a semi-track car look while the wider grille complements the arched C-pillar to give it a streamlined appearance. The headlights are slim and more pointed, especially towards the edge of the front bumper. The front fascia bears a relatively different outlook from previous Mustang editions due to the 20 mm / 0.8 inches lowered hood. In addition to the minor tweaks on the front bumper, the windshield is more inclined than other Mustang editions in a bid to give the 2018 edition a more sassy and adventurous outlook.
The car has both a large-car feel and sports car appearance. This is due to Ford`s insistence on side body tweaks to give the Mustang an unpredictable futuristic design. The rectangular fog clusters are located on the front bumper towards the edge similar to the C-shaped headlights that extend across the Mustang`s rear in pairs of three for each lateral side. The edition comes with the option of a quartet of exhaust tips or dual tips depending on buyer preference. New 2018 Ford Mustang GT wheels will have 12 available options to choose, while three new exterior colors will Orange Furry, Royal Crimson, and Kona Blue(in the gallery).
The Mustang`s interior remains true to traditional Ford designs except for minor tweaks and technological upgrades that Ford intend to surprise us with. The dashboard is more compact as expected with lesser scattered controls from the steering to allow for ease of use and multitasking capabilities. Not only is the dash less detailed in regards to control, but it also comes with a high-resolution 12-inch(available) LCD with touch capabilities. The high resolution allows for enhanced visuals and infotainment capabilities. Furthermore, over the display, you can choose one of Ford’s driver modes: Normal, Sport, and Track.

The enhanced cabin technology is a selling point for the model which comes with Driver Assist software that enables drivers to detect passengers and give various lane and travel safety warnings as well. Further, the new 2018 Mustang GT has a driver alert system that combines with the Pre-collision assist to enhance driver and passenger safety. Although the interior is relatively compact, Ford says the slightly increased seating space allows for comfort. The optional steering heating feature makes driving easier on those extremely chilly days. The leather interior coupled with padded knee bolsters gives the machine a neat and enticing interior that enhances comfort as well as usability.
All Ford die-hards must be glowing at the announcement that the new Ford Mustang GT 2018 will have a revised engine system.
Ford has dropped its 3.7-liter V-6 engine to give way to two engine options; either a 5.0-liter Coyote V-8 or a 2.3-liter four-cylinder. This translates to the production of more horses with the bad boy capable of producing 350 ponies. With both engines, you will be capable of shifting from the 6-speed manual transmission to an optional upgraded 10-speed automatic. What`s even better with the Mustang engine is that while on the Coyote V-8 has the dual-mass flywheel and twin disc clutch features that improve control and overall stability of the model. Expect retuned MagneRide dampers as well as upgrades to the rear suspension systems. This will be accompanied by a revised dual-plate clutch for the V-8.
Exact fuel economy capabilities have not been revealed as yet although, the engine revision should translate to slightly improved fuel economy. The 350 HP produced by the engine makes the car powerful and appropriate for maneuvering steep bends, highway driving, track events and light terrain.
