The 2018 Toyota RAV4 Adventure was exhibit at the recently held, famous Chicago Auto Show and went ahead to impress compact crossover diehards. The new RAV4 model has all the makings of a bestseller, especially due to the modifications made to the both the exterior and powertrain. With the outdoors in mind, Toyota designed the new model with a raised design that allows for long distance driving and maneuvering tricky terrain as well.
2018 Toyota RAV4 Changes
Toyota appears to be up to something with this new Adventure model. First off, unlike initial RAV4 Models, the Adventure boasts of a slightly enlarged design coupled with additional lower body cladding. Although the additional lower bodyguards are not metallic, their plastic make-up still allows for additional protection, unlike initial models which lacked any lower cladding. The plastic is “high impact” meaning it is quite capable of protecting the new model from obstacles and rocky terrain.

Toyota RAV4 2018 Interior
As mentioned earlier, Toyota remains committed to satisfying the needs of adventure lovers with this new RAV4 model. The interior is spacious enough to fit additional luggage in the passenger seats. This move is impressive considering the legroom in the previous RAV4 editions was anything but spacious. Not much has changed in the dashboard as it remains compact and easy to use just like in the other RAV4 editions.

The 2018 RAV4 Adventure is well suited for adventure. This can be seen by the inclusion of rubber mats in both the cargo area and the passenger footwells. The heavy duty rubber mats enhance usability by easing the cleaning process as the mats can be removed and cleaned separately. Additionally, the new Toyota RAV4 2018 comes with a neat leather interior not only in the seats but also in the shift knob and door trims; this gives the car a classy and easy to clean interior.

Technology is not left behind in this model as a ready to use cold weather package allows for all weather driving. The SUV brags of a heated and compact steering wheel and front seats. This means you can drive even to the coldest regions without the fear of frozen fingers or difficulty in steering the car. Indeed, the cold weather package makes the RAV4 a good option, especially when it comes to venturing off into unfamiliar territory. Both the hill-start assist and sway control technologies will play important roles in enhancing usability and driver support. It also comes with the standard Toyota`s Safety Sense P technology that allows for adaptive cruise control and lane-departure warning as well.
The 2018 RAV4 retains the standard engine for the outgoing RAV4 edition. This might come as a surprise to speed and performance lovers who expected more from the “Adventure” themed model. However, the 2.5-liter, four cylinder engine is still capable and can fork out 176 ponies and around 172 lb-ft of torque. With a six-speed auto transmission mated to the engine, the car can manage impressive speeds with enhanced usability. Additionally, as revealed during its debut at the Chicago Auto Show, the new RAV4 2018 has good fuel economy with an EPA rating(est.) of 26/29 in combined/highways.
